Performance artist, musician, Lou Reed's spouse. Laurie Anderson is all of these things, and today she's 61. Join us for a celebratory screening of "Sharkey's Day" from 1984. The two rock chicks at the beginning are just icing on the birthday cake.

    My parents took me to see Laurie Anderson in Manhattan, on Broadway as I remember, about 15 years ago and I was bored stiff. It was a frightening congregation of past-their-prime Boomers.

    i too remember that concert. i had to drag my husband because he was no fan. i, on the other hand thought it was one of the best shows i've ever seen.
