Amy Reid is one half of Baltimore duo Chiffon. Along with Chase O'Hara, they've toured North America and Europe since 2012. On the origins of Hirsute, Reid says that “It is a reflection of organic, very human experiences getting tangled with outside factors out of one’s control…These sonic explorations embody experiencing chaos balanced with love and tender moments. Anxiety and serenity.”
There's an album release show on September 15th in Baltimore at The Crown. Reid will perform along with :3lon, Small Axe, and Trillnatured. The New York release show is on November 29th at The Silent Barn, with Abdu Ali, Macy Rodman, and DJ Jeremy Hyman.
