The Sweater Set

I had the opportunity to catch The Sweater Set in DC a few weeks ago, and it was a to-the-hilt stellar show. Comprised of Sara Curtin and Maureen Andary, the duo went from a few tracks on MySpace to an hour-long set in no time, comprised of tactful ukuleles, egg shakers, melodicas and harmonies—and, without a doubt, the most bangin' duel kazoo harmony line this side of the 1920s. If tunes like "I'm Sure You're Hip" (below) and "Dream Life" are any indication of the group's eventual debut album, here's to waiting with anticipation.
