The Mill Valley Film Festival showcases movies from all over the world, but it also takes advantage of the extraordinary community of filmmakers in its own backyard. It screens locally as well as globally. Among the Marin filmmakers this year is Peter Sorcher, a 41-year-old Mill Valley media company founder who's making his festival debut on Oct. 9 and 17 with the world premiere of his documentary, "Eat the Sun."
