The issue of Playboy magazine that will start hitting newsstands Friday (Oct. 16) bears an image of a semi-nude Marge Simpson, the cartoon matriarch of "The Simpsons."
It is difficult for me to believe that anyone is actually UPSET about Marge Simpson on the cover of Playboy. It is one of the most ingenious business moves that Playboy has made in years. I love the idea. I think it is fun and will definitely get Playboy's sales up. Additionally, I would like to comment on the AFA's quote saying, "In the eyes of most women, pornography is degrading and highly offensive." I am not in that majority, apparently, because I think that women having control of the sex industry is empowering. The sex industry is not run or powered by men, but rather by the women portrayed in the photos.
