Bill Maher tells Obama: Be a little more like Bush.
I understand Maher's complaints, and the invocation of Bush is quite novel. However, I get frustrated with liberals who lament the fact that Obama hasn't simply forced reform through Congress. The political pendulum swings back and forth, and the Bush administration swung it so far to the right that the country elected an African-American democrat. I never saw Obama as someone who wanted to simply swing the pendulum to left - I see him as someone who wants to shift the pendulum entirely.
