Heart gives McCain the finger, music still mediocre

In a deft move of political jujitsu, the band Heart has put the screws through the McCain campaign. Sort of. You see, the campaign played the band's hit "Barracuda" at the Republican National Convention in honor of Sarah Palin (apparently her nickname is "Barracuda," not "Really?"). Heart was not down with this, but apparently they sold themselves out of any rights to the song—"as the song is licensed for public performance under a blanket fee." The band's response?:

Send a portion of the song's royalties directly to Barack Obama.
