  • It's a catchy song and since the video is probably from some tv show in 1968 the quality isn't so surprising. My mom used to play this song and the group's "Midnight Confessions" on a mix tape in the car when I was growing up. It's sort of bubblegum rock, but that's okay with me.

  • My dad, much to my embarrassment, is a fan of all bubblegum from the 60's and 70's, which means as a kid I was exposed to the Archies, Ohio Express, whatever band did that song "Afternoon Delight" and other awful stuff. Hardly child abuse, he's a really good guy, but it's a miracle I escaped with a decent concept of rock and roll.
