This isn't techno DJ, this is a producer. There is an important difference, one that makes hip-hop producers distinctly apart from an "electronic" scene: all of these songs could be played live in principle with a turntable and sampler. He's not inventing sounds with a synthesizer.
Very cool! The idea behind this album was to pay tribute to the city where he's from by incorporating found sounds he sampled from the Chicago environment.
