i dont get animal collective, or the people who like them. I got that one album here comes the indian, and I think I spent maybe 10 minutes skipping through each track. Panda bear owes me 15$ or a double whopper or something.
here comes the indian is a horrible place to start in the ac discography. I didn't really "get it" until well over a year and a half after I first got it. but now, I think it's definitely their most cohesive and realized effort to date, at least in terms of pacing and structure. my favorite LP of their's is feels, closely followed by sung tongs. but they're best when they're electric for sure: I love listening to bootlegs from 2004 to 2006, when they were touring with material from Feels, and later, Strawberry Jam.
