Don LaFontaine, best known for his distinctive voice rather than his face or his name, lent his voice to thousands of trailers and commercials since the 1960's. Many of the trailer cliches that we all know so well today came from some of LaFontaine's early spots. Sadly, he died yesterday at the age of 68. Here's a piece that Backstage did on him earlier this year.
