In July of 2006, Daptone Records placed an ad in a local paper near the rural town of Como, Mississippi. The ad invited any and all local singers to record their songs at Mount Mariah Church. No pianos, no guitars, just pure vocal soul. The result is this breathtaking, little noticed compilation: Como Now, The Voices of Panola Co., Mississippi.
