Jerry Only: Now all of a sudden the marketing that we've been perfecting over the years all comes into play.

Brian Garfield: We thought of the work as fun, challenging but easy to do.

Only: It was like 20 different colors just splattered on the board.

Garfield: That came later. We met at a poker game in New York, 1965.

Only: And then we played the Phillips Snowboard Championships up in Vermont, outside on the side of a ski slope.

Garfield: That’s usually the secret of a good movie—several people having exceptionally good days at the same time.

Only: Because if these kids get it, then your average kid will get it no problem, you know?

Garfield: Just one I can remember.

Only: Oh. So it’s good.

Garfield: Several reasons.

Only: Well, everybody thought we were demonic.

Garfield: We all would summer out there with our respective wives and friends.

Only: That's two totally different crowds.

Garfield: We didn’t have long talks about it.

Only: We have the ability to do them, so why not pull them off?
