Monahan: And then, years later, it was the Gorge outside of Seattle.
Calderwood: Yeah. I grew up with late beatnik parents, who were influenced by the late ’50s scene in San Francisco.
Monahan: Now, you don’t need any of that, but you can’t get beverages by looking at them and downloading them.
Calderwood: That’s a hard one to call. It gets really ridiculous.
Monahan: It was a really tough time.

Calderwood: The time is now and that’s what you fuckin’ do, is what you enjoy.
Monahan: They turned it into a track, and then I wrote about this dream where I saw a girl in a yellow dress, chased her through my dream, and it felt like I would never find her.
Calderwood: They guaranteed me a 50 percent reduction of pain, and I’m sure I’ve gotten at least 85 percent.
Monahan: It still inspires people to dance, laugh, have fun, and make memories.
Calderwood: Maybe people will be less insulted.
