I'll do you one better

Recently here in Mont-P (that would be Montpelier, France -- ed), Jon and I were dj-ing at a house party and had put together a little list of songs that were sampled and turned into something better than the original. The most hilarious case of "Terrible Song Turned Amazing" is without doubt Daft Punk transforming the opening part of George Duke's "I Love You More." Once you listen to "Digital Love" you will not be able to listen to the original without saying, "What the fuck was he thinking?" The opening segment is genius, but, tragically, he never brings it back.

  • the true glory of daft punk's rendition of the sample is that they provide material for 'joe the talkboxer' who would have nothing to post on youtube otherwise. for instance, http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh_oEELrZlA
