BOONE - Blud

BOONE is the first solo album from Shane McCord, formerly of Sun Club. It's a sprawling home-recorded effort that recalls the wild genre and instrument hopping of Van Dyke Parks' Song Cycle, Tyondai Braxton's Central Market, and the works of Arthur Russell. It conjures a world of dark woods, empty suburban streets, friends that come and go, and manic bedroom recording experimentation, with the same density and intensity of Ariel Pink's early 8-track work. McCord, now based in Berlin, recorded BOONE throughout 2017 and includes contributions from Josh Dean (Murderboats) and Gowl Cien (Shinji).
